MATRAVERS ENGINEERING LIMITED has grown from a small family concern, founded in 1970, to become one of the largest engineering companies in the South West of England.

John Matravers, the Company's founder and 'hands on' Chairman, has been the driving force behind the development of the Company. He continues to play an active roll in the business, whilst ensuring that the standards of service, quality and innovation for which the Company has become renowned, are maintained.

The Chairman is supported by a team who are dedicated to building a future on the secure foundations already established, whilst maximising the benefits available from the use of modern technology.

Steel leaves our premises in a variety of forms, for incorporation into building structures, for use in the casting of pre-cast and in-situ concrete elements and for many other engineering applications.

With a covered Workshop extending to some 1700 square metres and incorporating a Machine Shop facility of some 300 square metres, we are able to design, shear, saw, mill, turn, drill, tap, thread, punch, fold, roll, profile, bend, press, fabricate, weld, shotblast, zinc / aluminium spray and paint steel.

We hold current Coding Certification for the majority of our Fabricators and Welders. Our Drawing Office uses the latest computer-aided drawing facility and we are able to produce drawings for discussion and agreement with our Clients both at the enquiry stage and prior to the commencement of manufacture.

Having already supplied items throughout the United Kingdom, Eire and the near Continent, we are particularly interested in developing our export potential.
